Grude is dedicated to the creation of high-end documentaries on the basis of love and solidarity with focus on human rights and cognitive liberty. He is the founding father of Piraya Film.
Torstein Grude was shocked and astonished when he first learned about the North-Korean concentration camps five years ago. He decided that the world needed to be made aware of the atrocities in these camps, and set out to create a film about one of the world’s best kept secrets. Grude wanted to give voice to the silenced inmates of the prison camps. Over the next five years he worked with director Andrzej Fidyk and crew, to create Yodok Stories. Grude is producer and photographer on the film.
